I received a text from a company which offered to get me a payday loan but then asked me to pay a £10 administration fee. I never actually got the payday loan and they now tell me it was a brokers fee and i wasn’t guaranteed to get the loan.

I did think it was strange to begin with because i’m unemployed but thought some might offer it to people who were unemployed. The text made me think i was already approved for the loan and it was just a case of paying £10 and i would receive the money.

How can i get my money back from this company as i feel i’ve been mis-sold to.

    Hi Vale533,

Sadly we’ve heard this same situation happening to far too many people but there are steps you can take to get your money back.

First go through their official complaints procedure which they should give you or you’ll find it on their website. The second step if they don’t accept your complaint and refund your money is to complain to the financial ombudsman.

I have sent in a letter to complain so i’ll wait for their response and let you know what they say
