Hi,
I’ve been in a protected trust deed for almost 2 years now but i’ve lost my job due to no fault of my own what will happen to my trust deed?
November 1, 2013 at 8:42 am #607Hi Shaun,
Your best option is to speak with your insolvency practitioner who will likely give you a payment break to give you time to get back into work. Your trust deed should just be extended to allow for the payment break.
Do you think you will be back in work within the next few months?
November 1, 2013 at 10:44 am #608That’s a weight off my mind, i don’t know how long i’ll be out of work but hopefully i can buy some time.
November 1, 2013 at 11:02 am #609That’s exactly right Shaun, even if you’re not sure how long it will take to get back into work it’s worth buying yourself time. Let us know how you get on.
November 4, 2013 at 10:40 am #634Thanks Debt Advice Forum,
I spoke to my ip and they done exactly what you said and put my trust deed on hold for 2 months which should be long enough to get back into work.
